Moving On’ - a new generation of tradition is keeping country music alive.

Australian country music artist Tracy Coster has seen many changes in her life and career. As daughter of Australia’s legendary Bush Balladeer, travelling showman and Slim Dusty’s number one songwriter, Stan Coster, undoubtedly Tracy’s influences have given her a unique perspective on life and music.

A CMAA Golden Guitar winner, Tracy’s knows first hand the joys and hardships of life on the road. Earlier this year Tracy was asked to contribute her ‘travelling showman’ story to the National Library of Australia in a permanent collection called ‘Living Traditions’, tracing the oral and musical history of Australia.

For Tracy, the passion she has for her heritage and the heritage of country music keeps the dream of the ‘travelling showman’ alive as she continues to take her music on the road with her critically acclaimed brand new album, ‘Moving On’ .

There is plenty of enthusiasm and broad appeal amongst fans and industry for the new album. Earlier this year Tracy’s single, ‘Way Back Then’ proved a top ten chart hit on the Australian Country Tracks Chart and the her most recent single, ‘Old Black Quart’ has scored her a nomination in the Southern Stars - The Australian Independent Country Music Awards 2009.

With a mix of songs from the new album and some old favourites. "We always have a lot of fun and it is truly a family show, I’m looking foward to catching up with some old friends and making new ones"

Tracy Coster has seen many changes in her life and career, as daughter of Australia’s legendary Bush Balladeer, Stan Coster, undoubtedly Tracy’s influences have given her a unique perspective on life and music.

Now with the release of her brand new album, ‘Moving On’ Tracy is keeping the spirit of tradition alive with a new generation of songs that express her love of Australian country music and clearly signifies a metamorphosis, marking her as an artist in her own right.

‘Moving On’ is where Tracy Coster is right now. It’s a journey of integrity, inspired honesty and joy, reflecting the past and embracing the future.

Tracy  lanched her new album, “Moving On” during the Tamworth  Country Music Festival . Hundreds of industry, media & guests turned out to help her celebrate the launch of this much anticipated album.

Tracy would like to sincerely thank everyone for their attendance.

Tracy will now release the first single from the album’ Way Back Then’, a perfect fit for country music radio and a taste of what ‘Moving On’ is all about.

Vocal Collaboration Of The Year


Born in the bush, raised on the road - her album 'Coster Country' has been pure gold, winning her a Golden Guitar for Vocal Collaboration of the Year, Album of the Year at the Bush Ballad Awards and in 2005 the Australian Independent Country Music Awards Album of the Year.

Her single I DON'T WANT TO TALK ABOUT RAIN was released in 2006 to good reviews, and joined Anita Ree on the duet ITCHING FEET, gaining a finalist spot in the CMAA Awards for Vocal Collaboration Of The Year.

COSTER COUNTRY DOES IT AGAIN
Golden Guitar winner Tracy Coster is having one amazing year.  In the past two weeks, Tracy's album COSTER COUNTRY has taken out Album Of The Year at the Australian Independent Country Music Awards and Female Vocalist Of The Year at the NSW Golden Medallion Awards.

At the Mildura Country Music Festival held over the weekend, Tracy was honoured that her album, a tribute to her father Stan Coster, picked up the award for Album Of The Year. She also had finalist nominations in Heritage Song Of The Year for 'When We Boiled The Billy Leaves Twice' and Female Artist Of The Year for her latest single 'Won't Those Memories Let Me Be'(as seen on CMC).

Both awards will join her collection of accolades received this year - Golden Guitar Awards Vocal Collaboration of the Year,  Album Of the Year & Comedy Song Of The Year Australian Bush Ballad Awards and her finalist berth in the CMAA Australian CM Achiever Awards Independent Entertainer Of The Year.

Tracy is proud of her album COSTER COUNTRY, and we are sure that Stan would be mighty proud of his daugther's achievements too.

These days, Tracy is well and truly performing in her own right, and as an equal partner in the Stan and Tracy Coster show with her famous dad. And since her re-emergence on the country scene at the beginning of this year, Tracy has gone from strength to strength. She has a new album, which is selling extremely well, both her single releases have made it into the Hoedown Top 20, and she will soon see much of her early work released by EMI.

Tracy has released a classy album, Play The Game, widley recognised as by far her best work to date. One of the album's strongest points is the number of original tracks featured on it. Tracy wrote seven of the 15 songs, demonstrating that she has inheriter her famous fathers songwriting talents, albiet with a different slant.

FILM DEBUT FOR TRACY

Golden Guitar winner Tracy Coster would like to thank all who have shown their support for her album COSTER COUNTRY & her hit BACK TO THE SALTBUSH PLAINS.

Following up from her Golden Guitar & Australian Bush Ballads Award wins, Tracy's latest single WON'T THOSE MEMORIES LET ME BE has already hit stations across the country with many of them adding this country gem.

And you will be seeing alot more of Tracy when the video clip of WON'T THOSE MEMORIES LET ME BE is released to media in June.

 An excited Tracy explains "Memories is such a true country song.. The lost love, why did you go and break my heart kind of country with that slow western swing melody that gets you every time.The scene is set in an old country pub. I am on a small stage in the corner crooning away  in front of an audience of typical Aussie battlers & the rest is a bit of surprise but suffice to say I am thrilled with the end result."

Tracy was in great hands at the shoot, with director Corri Hooper (directed Kasey Chambers/Beccy Cole) at the helm.

"This will be my screen debut, most exciting and a completely different experience to live performance," Tracy said.
